About Us

Mountaintop Mining Limited works in critical minerals — such as copper, cobalt, coltan, manganese, zinc, lithium, tin, tungsten, tantalum, nickel, graphite and rare earth elements — that are essential for Africa's industrialization agenda and strategically important for critical minerals supply chains of the US, Europe and other countries across the globe. We are a US registered holding company with a Zambian subsidiary that owns mining sites and has majority stakes in several other local mining sites and companies. Beyond Zambia, we plan to replicate the same modus operandi to acquire and develop critical mineral sites in other key African countries as well.

We know these critical minerals matter beyond their market value — they are key ingredients for advanced new technologies, including the ever-increasing shift towards renewable energy, artificial intelligence data centers, electric vehicles, and modern manufacturing. That's why our approach to early-stage mineral exploration and development takes into account environmental considerations of the areas we operate in and the welfare of the local communities nearby.

Mission

We acquire mining sites for exploration and development of critical minerals across Africa. Currently, we own mining sites in Zambia and hold majority stakes in many other mining sites across the country, in partnership with other local mining companies in which we hold majority stakes. Our operations are anchored on ensuring safe, environmentally responsible mining, while at the same time ensuring that local communities also benefit through employment creation, local content supply contracts and corporate social responsibility engagements.
